Russia and Iran have decided to abolish visa requirements.

Iranian Energy Minister Hamid Chitchian and co-chair of the Russian-Iranian intergovernmental commission Reza Ardakanian announced that Moscow and Tehran are discussing visa abolition. The development of rules and regulations could take approximately two months.

 

 

As reported RIA Novosti reports that many tour operators are interested in launching direct flights between Tehran and Sochi.

"Regarding tourism, we have an agreement on visa abolition; the documents signed on this issue only require implementing regulations," the Iranian energy minister noted.

As a reminder, Iran's Minister of Roads and Urban Development, Mohammad Eslami, announced that Russia and Iran have discussed the creation of a tourist route across the Caspian Sea.
