One Georgian travel agency has offered Russian tourists a new service: a trip to Tbilisi to obtain a US visa.
As Lenta reports.According to Sky Travel, the Georgian company contacts the US Embassy directly, sends the applicant's application form, arranges an interview date, and pays the consular fee. Tourists must arrive in Georgia on the appointed date for the interview and then wait eight days for the visa to be processed.
The company notes that with a second passport, applicants can return to Russia while waiting for a visa and then return to receive the document. The travel agency expects its offer to be successful among Russian travelers, who may now need several months to obtain a U.S. visa in their home country.
