Rostourism launches advertising campaign in Asia

The Federal Tourism Agency has launched an outdoor advertising campaign in the megacities of China, Japan and the Republic of Korea. The project has chosen an unusual format for attracting the attention of a multi-million audience in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Seoul. As information The media in these cities uses private cars, the surfaces of which are covered with vinyl film with images illustrating the tourist appeal of the Russian Federation.

Advertising on private vehicles is a new direction in outdoor advertising, which has a number of additional advantages, including a large number of unique information contacts and a wide audience coverage due to dense traffic in megacities and the constant movement of cars along city streets and highways, a high probability of detailed familiarization of the audience with advertising content, especially in traffic jams and at traffic lights, greater trust in information on the part of consumers, etc.

The advertising campaign, under the slogan "Have you seen that?", was launched in September 2018. Currently, about 100 private cars are already involved in promoting Russia's tourism opportunities, with attractive and understandable stories on the sides of the vehicles, representing Russian nature, classical art and traditions.

The countries of the Asia-Pacific region are growing tourist markets and very promising in terms of increasing inbound tourist flows to Russia. The number of Chinese, Japanese and Korean tourists visiting the Russian Federation is steadily growing. In particular, in 2017, the inbound tourist flow from the Republic of Korea increased by 58% compared to the previous year, from Japan - by 21%, and from China - by 15%. In the first half of 2018, the number of tourist trips of Korean citizens to Russia increased by 29% compared to the same period last year, and Chinese citizens - by 21%.
