Egypt's budget deficit in the third quarter of the current fiscal year narrowed from $3.1 billion a year earlier to $1.93 billion, the country's Central Bank reported.
According to the data received, during the reporting period, the country's income from tourism increased from 1.266 (last year) to 2.27 billion US dollars.
The trade deficit improved, falling from $9.35 billion to $9.26 billion.
The country's overall balance of payments also improved, reaching a surplus of $5.38 billion in the third quarter, up from $3.97 billion last year.
Meanwhile, net inflows of foreign direct investment fell from US$2.28 billion to US$2.26 billion.
