New Year's trip to Vietnam. Flight

We like to celebrate New Year not at home, but in distant warm countries, and 2016 was not supposed to be an exception. Now I'll tell you how it all turned out...

The difficult economic situation allowed us to choose only Egypt. In October, we bought Aeroflot tickets, booked a hotel without paying on Booking.com, and in November, Egypt was closed, Aeroflot returned all the bonuses, I cancelled the hotel for free, and had to think about what to do next. And then, as they say, I had a "genre crisis". I wanted to go somewhere warm, and most importantly, to fit into a certain amount, which we were counting on for Egypt. I dug through a lot, but as soon as I started choosing tickets, the cost was simply unrealistic! At the beginning of December, we did not know whether we were going for the New Year or not. This has never happened before. I mean buying tickets, such a short period before the New Year. Usually, an international flight was bought at least 4 months before departure.

For some reason, I didn't even consider Vietnam. Maybe because I'm not a fan of Southeast Asia, or maybe I haven't seen any tasty photos of Vietnam, I don't know. Anyway, I read, looked, and came across a photo that reminded me of Honolulu and Waikiki Beach with its curved coastline with high-rise buildings and a long beach with mountains at the end. And it turns out that the photo was of Nha Trang! I quickly looked at the cost of the flight and accommodation, and lo and behold, the total cost was even cheaper than Egypt.

What an epic story!))

The trip to Nha Trang took place from December 24 to January 7. On the way back there was a day in Hanoi.

We flew 8.30 to Hanoi, Vietnam Airlines. If you are interested, you can read about the service and food in my husband's blog soon. We liked everything!

We arrived at Hanoi Noi Bai International Airport. In Hanoi there was a 3-hour layover. We needed to move to another terminal, where domestic flights fly from. Yes, and although we had a further flight with Vietnam Airlines, we needed to get our luggage. We waited for a very long time, more than an hour, for the free shuttle. Many were nervous and left by taxi. And the ride was only 10 minutes. But somehow everything was not thought out. They did not even offer to put suitcases in the luggage compartment, and a full bus of people, including luggage, barely squeezed into this shuttle. Then we ran, ran, queues for registration, control, but we made it, and then waited 20 minutes before boarding the plane. But 3 hours of layover, that's very tight!
The flight lasted 1.45, and at 10 am on December 25 we landed at the airport in Cam Ranh city.
