Singapore Airlines, SWISS and Lufthansa have been named the best airlines by Prime Traveller magazine. This was reported on the publication's website.
The winners of the 2018 Prime Traveller Awards have been announced. The recipients of the awards for outstanding achievements and innovations in business and air transportation were selected in 13 nominations, including "Best Airline", "Best Russian City Hotel", "Best Foreign City Hotel", "Best Beach Hotel" and others. There could be several winners in each nomination.
The jury awarded the title of "Best Airline" to Singapore Airlines. The experts noted the excellent service of the Singaporean carrier, as well as its newest aircraft, exquisite cuisine and modern entertainment system on board. The company operates regular flights from Moscow to Singapore and Stockholm five times a week on the Airbus A350.
Other award winners were SWISS and Lufthansa. The jury praised the Swiss carrier's excellent service in business class and the German airline's level of comfort. From soundproofing to Michelin-starred dishes and signature black caviar, from the intuitive seat control system to high-speed Internet access.
In the category "Best Beach Hotel", the winners were the French palace hotel La Réserve Ramatuelle, located 10 minutes from Saint-Tropez, and the Amanpuri hotel on one of the secluded islands of the western coast of Phuket. The best Russian hotels for recreation were the Utkino hotel in the Rostov region and the Barvikha hotel in Barvikha. The ultra-modern Ararat Park Hyatt Moscow, a few steps from the Kremlin, shared the victory in the category "Best Russian City Hotel" with the oldest hotel in St. Petersburg, the Belmond Grand Hotel Europe. The One&Only resorts in Mauritius and the Maldives received awards in two categories: "Discovery of the Year" and "Best Island Resort", respectively.
