Ryanair is planning to confiscate one of the passenger's two bags.

Irish low-cost airline Ryanair announced changes to its carry-on baggage rules effective November 1, 2017, the BBC reports.

Currently, low-cost airline passengers are allowed to take two bags into the cabin free of charge. One of them must not exceed the dimensions of 55 cm x 40 cm. The second requirement is for a bag to be 35 cm x 20 cm x 20 cm and easily fit under the seat in front of the passenger. The company notes that most passengers try to maximize their options by bringing two large bags into the cabin, causing inconvenience to their neighbors. Situations that arise on board often lead to flight delays.

Starting November 1, Ryanair passengers will still be able to carry two bags free of charge, but one of them will need to be checked in before boarding and then placed in the aircraft's cargo hold. At the same time, the company announced a reduction in the price of regular baggage from €35 to €25 per item and an increase in the permitted baggage weight from 15 to 20 kg. According to the authors of this "revolutionary" idea, this should encourage suitcases and oversized items to return to their rightful place—the aircraft's cargo hold.

Please note that priority passengers (Priority Boarding ticket holders, including Plus, Flexi Plus & Family Plus) will still be able to carry two pieces of carry-on baggage into the aircraft cabin.

TURIZM.RU previously reported that the Russian Ministry of Transport had drafted a bill defining baggage regulations. According to the bill, any passenger, even those with the cheapest ticket, will be able to carry 5 kg of carry-on baggage on board an airplane at no extra charge.
