In Bryansk, a local travel agency was caught illegally advertising vacations in Egypt. Administrative proceedings will now be instituted against the company, reports Turprom.
According to the press service of the Bryansk UFAS, the violation was discovered by agency employees.
"This advertising information misled consumers, thereby violating advertising laws. The antimonopoly authority's commission deemed the advertising inappropriate. An administrative case will be initiated for this violation," The Antimonopoly Service explained.
It's worth noting that this is not the first time that illegal advertising of Egypt has occurred in Bryansk. Last November, a local travel agency received a warning from the regional Antimonopoly Service.
At the time, the agency reported that the travel agency Kolibri Tour, in its pursuit of clients, was using vacation offers in Egypt, which had been closed for a year, as an advertisement. "Many travel agencies offer tours around the world, resort vacations, last-minute deals, and travel packages at competitive prices, but sometimes, in their quest for passengers, they forget that they can only advertise what they can actually offer consumers," This was stated in a statement by the Federal Antimonopoly Service for the Bryansk Region.
As a result, advertising for Egypt, whose return many travelers eagerly await, was deemed inappropriate and misleading by the antitrust authority's commission.
