According to the Croatian Ministry of Tourism, tour operator TUI UK is expanding its presence in Croatia in 2019, including through the resorts of the Kvarner Bay.
The largest tour operator announces the launch of flights to Rijeka airport from Manhattan and London next summer, which is explained by the growing demand for Croatian destinations.
Thus, weekly TUI flights to Rijeka Airport will be operated through its airline TUI Airways from May 23, 2019.
From the airport, the tour operator will transport tourists to the resorts of Kvarner, including Rijeka and the islands of Krk and Rab.
By the way, on the island of Rab, located near the Dalmatian coast in the Kvarner Bay, TUI will offer its tourists the Sensimar Carolina hotel, as well as two Platinum hotels, and on the island of Krk – three hotels, including Corinthiu, managed by Valamar Riviera.
"TUI's decision to expand in the region is the result of a long-term cooperation, which is of strategic importance for Croatian tourism in general, especially for the Kvarner region, which is not yet connected to the UK market. We are also working with TUI this year to promote the destination in Benelux, France, Scandinavia, Russia and the UK, and this is part of the strategic programme. Within its framework, Croatia intends to position itself as an attractive year-round tourist destination with good transport links to the main markets of the world," said at the HTZ head office.
