Prague to host major folklore festival

From July 19th to 22nd, the entire center of Prague will be transformed into an open-air concert hall for the Czech capital's Folklore Days. Artists from around the world will perform in traditional costumes on the streets. In total, about 1,700 music and dance groups are expected to participate.

The city will be enveloped in a carnival atmosphere, featuring artists from Russia, Poland, Ukraine, France, England, Slovakia, Germany, Austria, the USA, as well as Vietnam, Laos, Mexico, India, New Zealand, and African countries.

According to iLoveCz.ru, the festival's main stages will be located in three locations: on the embankment near the Rudolfinum concert hall, at Republic Square (Náměstí Republiky), and at Hradčanské Square (Hradčanské náměstí). Singing and dancing will be taking place throughout the streets of the city center. The festival will begin with a grand parade, with all the groups marching in a column through the city.
