Russia and Iran are planning to lift the visa regime for tourist groups, which may come into force soon. At the moment, Rostourism and Iran's partners are agreeing on the details of the launch of the visa-free regime. This was reported by Deputy Foreign Minister Yevgeny Ivanov.
He also noted that the abolition of visas for tourist groups of 5 to 20 people for a 15-day stay will be mutual both in Russia for guests of Iran, and in Iran for tourists from the Russian Federation, RIA Novosti reports.
"Rostourism, which is the body responsible for implementing the agreement on the Russian side, and its Iranian partners are completing the preparation of lists of tour companies of the two countries that will receive and send tourist groups, and are also finalizing some technical aspects of interaction. We expect that these procedures will be completed in the near future and the agreement will come into force," emphasized Evgeny Ivanov.
In addition, he also announced that the issue of using business visas between the countries is being discussed.
