Iranian President Hassan Rouhani has announced the abolition of stamps in the passports of arriving tourists on entry and exit to/from the country, the Tasnimnews agency reports.
The country's authorities believe that this measure will help attract more travelers who are wary come to Iran due to possible problems with the American visa.
As the publication notes, in November last year, Iran began issuing tourists from 190 countries electronic visas for 30 days with the possibility of extending them for 15 days. The authorities made this decision to increase the flow of tourists to the country.
Let us recall that in January it became known that Russia and Iran planned to abolish the visa regime for tourist groups. The abolition of visas for tourist groups of 5 to 20 people for a 15-day stay will be mutual both in Russia for guests of Iran and in Iran for tourists from the Russian Federation.
